Our History – T&D Galiakot Containers

T&D Galiakot Containers Pvt. Ltd. is part of the Galiakotwala Group of Companies, and has been one of the pioneers in the private sector of the Barrels & Drums industry. In 2000, with the help of technology transfer from the T&D PLC UK (the foremost barrel manufacturer in Europe for over a century), Galiakot Containers Pvt. Ltd. reinvented itself as T&D Galiakot Containers Pvt. Ltd. and started production in what was an absolute state-of-the-art, highly automated manufacturing plant at that time. The Company has had several ‘firsts’ to its credit and has been in business for close to five decades now.

The Galiakotwala Group

The history of the group – established in 1923 - spans across hundred years and over 3 generations. Today, the group has diversified business interests in international and domestic cotton trading, industrial coatings, industrial packaging, designing and engineering chemical plant equipment and property development. The group is reputed for its ethical approach towards business and strong bond with long-term partners. It has manufacturing bases in 4 locations and a network of 20 offices across India. The various Divisions of the Group have developed several successful technical and marketing collaborations with global partners over the years.
